Telehealth Is Now Available!

At Hearing Services of Santa Barbara, we remain committed to the health and safety of our patients and employees as the coronavirus (COVID-19) continues to spread. We are taking aggressive steps to minimize person-to-person interaction, one of which is the introduction of virtual doctor visits.

How Does Telehealth Work?

Telehealth care connects patients with providers through a variety of methods.

Video Visits

Video visits allow you to see a medical professional from the comfort of your own home, and occur using a safe and private video chat portal. Doctors and other medical providers can evaluate, diagnose and treat many disorders through your phone or computer’s camera.

Phone Appointments

Phone appointments are ideal for follow-up visits, as they make it possible to speak to a healthcare professional even if you do not have an internet connection or video-supported device.

Remote Programming

Remote programming is available in some of today’s newer hearing devices. This allows your audiologist to make program changes to your device from afar. If you need activation or an access code number, contact our office for the next steps.

Types Of Appointments

  • Hearing Aid Evaluation
  • Follow up
  • Adjustments
  • Tips on cleaning/ maintenance of your hearing aids
  • Any other general hearing aid questions that you may have for your audiologist!

Additional Benefits of Telehealth

In addition to providing you with uninterrupted care, telehealth offers a number of added benefits, including:

  • Reducing the chance of catching illnesses
  • Eliminating transportation cost
  • Decreasing need to take time off work
  • Improving access to specialists
  • Shortening time spent in waiting rooms
