With an original plan to become a speech language pathologist, when Mandy was introduced to audiology during her undergraduate studies, she quickly changed her future course. She became instantly fascinated with this healthcare field and never looked back. Her passion for audiology stems from a strong desire to serve others and improve their quality of life.
Throughout her training at various clinics, she has developed a strong interest in patient-centered care and community service.
Her clinical placements within the Bay Area have given her the opportunity to work with a diverse population. These experiences have solidified that this type of community work is something she would love to bring back to the Santa Barbara County.
As a lifelong resident of Santa Barbara County, she made the decision to pursue her education at San Jose State University with the intention of one day returning to serve the community that has always meant so much to her. She is thrilled to now be at a point where she can bring that goal to life and give back to the place she proudly calls home.
